SureCav has been used with SFS (Steel frame structure) across the UK successfully for many years. It has been effective in keeping a clear, dry, vented air space against the build and providing the protection against wind-driven rain and water ingress.

When used in conjunction with stonework, SureCav does away with the need for the concrete backing block and reduces the need for the 50mm cavity down to 25mm, saving 125mm on your wall width.

The SureCav sheets are joined together using the H channel plastic joiners and corners formed using the bend line in the sheet.

SureCav replaces the need for the concrete backing block, reducing down the wall width. Where initially you need a 50mm cavity and a 100mm concrete backing/shield block.. you can replace this with the only approved 25mm cavity, SureCav25… saving 125mm off of your wall width!

We have used SureCav on a new stone house which was shortlisted for an RIBA Award. I really can’t recommend the SureCav product enough! Our self build project has been stressful to say the least with the rising costs of labour and materials, we’ve had to do whatever we can to save where we can. I thought a good way to do this would be installing the SureCav myself, however with never using the product before I was unsure of how straight forward this would be. We have just built a new build using SureCav25 and found it superb to use, allowing us to increase insulation thicknesses within the build, enabling us to achieved a great EPC (energy performance) result. I have specified Surecav on building regulations applications after the product had been recommended to me by the Local Authority Building Inspector and was interested to try it on my own extension.
